Alliance between Kawasaki Heavy Industries and Optimum

Kawasaki Heavy Industries, Ltd. and Optimum Corporation announced today that they will form a business alliance to utilize the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) in the fields of precision machinery and robots. The two companies will build a platform (foundation) for AI analysis of data collected from hydraulic equipment and robots, aiming at early development and commercialization of new solutions such as more efficient maintenance work. The two companies have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) regarding the alliance. Medicaloid has been developing surgical support robots with the aim of bringing them to market by the end of fiscal 2007.
