ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - Kazem Ahmadyar (L) and Asghar Ahmadyar, two of four Afghan brothers who are all doctors living in Japan, arrive in Islamabad on Oct. 29 to help treat Afghan refugees fleeing to Pakistan. The two other Ahmadyar brothers -- Akbar and Jafar -- will join Kazem and Asghar in Pakistan early next month.

TOKYO, Japan - Four Afghan medical doctors in Japan -- Kazem Ahmadyar (L), 48, and his three brothers, photographed Oct. 5 at Josai Hospital in Yuki, Ibaraki Prefecture -- will join operations to support Afghan refugees fleeing to Pakistan. The brothers, from the central Afghan region of Ghazni, are permanent residents of Japan and work with the Japan International Friendship and Welfare Foundation, a nongovernmental organization.
