Shioyazaki Lighthouse in Fukushima Pref. to reopen

IWAKI, Japan - Work to restore a pathway to the Shioyazaki Lighthouse in Iwaki, Fukushima Prefecture, continues on Jan. 28, 2014, ahead of the planned reopening of the facility to the general public on Feb. 22. The scenic lighthouse, which was made famous by director Keisuke Kinoshita's film about a lighthouse keeper "Yorokobi mo kanashimi mo ikutoshitsuki" (The Lighthouse), sustained major damage in the March 2011 earthquake disaster.
