GLASGOW, Scotland - Celtic midfielder Shunsuke Nakamura was named the Scottish Professional Footballers' Association's Player of the Year on April 22. Nakamura has played in all of Celtic's 34 league matches this season and scored nine goals, including the one that sealed Celtic's second successive Scottish Premier League title in a dramatic 2-1 victory away to Kilmarnock earlier in the day. The 28-year-old Nakamura became the first Japanese player to win back-to-back titles in Europe.
