Shizuoka to test market new strawberry variety 'Kirapika'

SHIZUOKA, Japan - A plate of a new variety of strawberries named "Kirapika" cultivated in Shizuoka Prefecture, central Japan, is presented at the prefectural government office on Nov. 10, 2014. Shizuoka, the nation's fourth largest strawberry producer, said it will start trial sales of the new strawberries in the prefecture and in Tokyo from the following week.
