Emperor, empress visit north Japan area developed by returnees from Palau

Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko visit the Kitaharao district of Zao, Miyagi Prefecture, northeastern Japan, which was developed on June 17, 2015, by Japanese nationals who were repatriated from the southwestern Pacific island country of Palau after the end of World War II.
