TOKYO, Japan - An estimated 35,000 people form a long line that stretched over 2 kilometers outside a memorial hall in Tokyo, where a funeral service for Japanese rock singer Kiyoshiro Imawano, who died of a lymphatic disease a week ago at age 58, was held May 9.

TOKYO, Japan - About 35,000 fans of Kiyoshiro Imawano, a Japanese rock singer who died of lymphatic disease at age 58 on May 3, gathered at the Aoyama Sougisho funeral home in Tokyo's Minato Ward on May 9. Fans stood in a line of about 2 kilometers to offer flowers at the funeral of the former leader of the band called the RC Succession, which made its debut in 1970 and stopped performing in 1991.
