18.02.2025, Tallinn. The Legal Affairs Committee discussed an amendment to the Churches and Congregations Act. The bill would effectively require the Estonian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate, the Russian Orthodox Churchs presence in the country, to cut ties with Moscow and its Patriarch Kirill or face liquidation by the government.
