Expressing a sense of speed with a design of dancing cherry blossoms. The Shimomachi Bobsleigh Network Project (PJ), which produces bobsleigh sleds mainly at factories in Ota Ward, Tokyo, has teamed up with students of Nihon Kogakuin College in the ward to unveil a new sled design. Mr. Kotaro Kurosaka, chairman of the PJ Promotion Committee, explained why the design was chosen, saying, "We focused on the fact that it has a Japanese flavor and looks good when running on ice. The new design will be used for the new No. 11 sled and the rest of the sleds in the future. The PJ is working on improving the sleds with the aim of adopting them at the Beijing Olympics in 2022.
