Sculptor to dedicate Buddhist statue to quake-hit temple

Company employee-turned sculptor Yozan Miura's wooden sitting statue of Shaka Nyorai in the making is shown in Kyoto on July 31, 2015. Enoshima Island

A view of Enoshima from the opposite bank (Katase). Three shrines are built on Enoshima: the Hetsunomiya, Nakatsumiya, and Okutsumiya. The name of the temple is Kinkizan Koganji. They were each administered by the Shimonobo, Chunobo and the Kaminobo.
