KAWAGOE, Japan - Police officers swarm a Honda sedan in Kawagoe, Saitama Prefecture, on June 3 in which a man armed with a gun had holed up for eight hours. The man later shot himself in the head and died in hospital, police said. The police suspect that the man may have been involved in a robbery at a pachinko parlor in the city of Konosu around midnight the previous day.
