FUJISAWA, Japan - Surfers try to catch the waves on Kugenuma beach in Fujisawa, a popular surfing spot south of Tokyo, on July 23, 2010. The mercury already soared above 30 C before 8:30 a.m. the same day in many areas in Japan.
