2 crew members of missing tuna boat rescued, but 1 dies

SENDAI, Japan - One of the four crew members of the 19-ton tuna boat Kyoei Maru No. 21 is transported to a hospital in the city of Hachinohe, Aomori Pefecture, on May 20 after being rescued at sea off Hachinohe by helicopter. The two crew members of the ship were found drifting in a raft earlier in the day.

K. Kameda to return to ring in nontitle fight in March

TOKYO, Japan - Former WBA light flyweight champion Koki Kameda (L) will return to action in a nontitle flyweight 10-rounder in March against Spanish boxer Jose Lopez Bueno in his first match since last July, his Kyoei gym announced Jan. 29. TOKYO, Japan - The rematch of the controversial WBA light flyweight title fight between Japan's Koki Kameda (in file photo) and Venezuela's Juan Landaeta has been rescheduled for Dec. 20 at Tokyo's Ariake Colosseum , Kameda's Kyoei Gym said Oct. 5. The fight had originally been penciled in for Oct. 18 but had to be postponed after the Japanese champion sustained an injury during a recent sparring session.
