US: Icy Roads After Snowfall Across Pennsylvania, Hazardous Travel Issued

The snow that fell Saturday night into Sunday, December 14, in central Pennsylvania partially thawed during the day but refroze as temperatures dropped in the afternoon and evening. Due to the resulting possibility of hazardous travel on Sunday night, December 14 and Monday morning, December 15, there is a possibility that classes in central Pa. could be delayed by one or two hours.

US: Severe Thunderstorms Trigger Rare Flash Flood Emergency in Pennsylvania

Severe thunderstorms swept across Pennsylvania on Monday, June 30, bringing heavy rain and strong winds to several areas, including the Philadelphia region. Shortly before 11 p.m., the National Weather Service office in State College issued a rare Flash Flood Emergency for northern Lancaster County and parts of Lebanon County, citing the threat of life-threatening flooding caused by heavy rainfall.

US: 5 Injured in Small Plane Crash near Lancaster Airport, Pennsylvania

A Beechcraft Bonanza aircraft crashed near Brethren Village Retirement Community in Manheim Township, Lancaster County, on Sunday, March 9. All five passengers onboard the flight were transported to local hospitals with injuries.
