Jubilee 2025 in Rome - The Seven Churches Pilgrimage

The Holy Door of the basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore in Rome, Italy on December 2024. It will be open by pope Francis during the Jubilee 2025. The start of the Jubilee year will be on Christmas Eve 2024, with the opening of the Holy Doors in Rome in the basilicas of St Peter, San Giovanni in Laterano, San Paolo Outside the Walls and Santa Maria Maggiore. Santa Maria Maggiore is one of the churches included in the itinerary of the pilgrimage of the seven churches of Rome which is an itinerary of about 20 kilometers that pilgrims use to cover in a single day during the year of the jubilee.The seven churches included in his itinerary are: Basilica of St Peter in the Vatican, Basilica of St Paul Outside the Walls, Basilica of St Sebastian Outside the Walls, Basilica of St. John Lateran, Basilica of Holy Cross in Jerusalem, Basilica of Saint Lawrence Outside the Walls, Basilica of Saint Mary Major.
