Climate activists from the Extinction Rebellion movement blocked the arterial road in the centre of Prague for nearly 40 minutes on Saturday, October 12, 2019, within the Big Rebellion for Life protest event calling for carbon neutrality in Europe by 2025. More than 40 activists lied on the ground on the pedestrian crossing at the National Museum in Wenceslas Square. The police asked them to stop blocking traffic and when they did not do so the police officers carried all the protesters away. All the protesters are suspected of committing an offence.
