Philippines: Typhoon Ewiniar Hits Quezon With Damaging Winds, Heavy Rain

Typhoon Ewiniar, locally known as Aghon hit Philippines on Sunday, May 26 bringing heavy rain and strong damaging winds to Province of Quezon, southeast of Manila. At least three people, including a seven-month old baby, were killed, according to reports.

Lin Biao (Piao), Chinese Communist military leader, co-leader of the Manchurian Field Army of the People's Liberation Army, and played an important role in the Communist victory in the Chinese Civil War. He later became Mao Zedong's designated successor during the Cultural Revolution before dying in a plane crash in 1971, supposedly following a failed coup attempt. Date: 1937-1945
