The Mystery of Cleopatra Exhibition - Paris

The Mystery of Cleopatra Exhibition From June 11, 2025 to January 11, 2026. Of the great female figures in history, Cleopatra, the last ruler of Egypt, is the most popular. A dark legend and then a universal figure have been forged around her, associating passion and death, sensuality and cruelty, wealth and war, politics and feminism. Man Executed In Spite Of Prosecutor's Objections - Missouri

NO FILM, NO VIDEO, NO TV, NO DOCUMENTARY - Undated file photo of Marcellus “Khaliifah” Williams was granted a stay of execution in 2017 after DNA evidence found he is not a match for the male DNA found on the murder weapon. After years of fighting to prove his innocence, 55-year-old Marcellus “Khaliifah” Williams was executed in Missouri on Tuesday, leaving behind a touching and simple message as his last statement. Prosecutors, Williams’ defense attorneys and the victim’s family agreed that his murder trial had been mishandled and that his life should have been spared. A groundswell of online supporters had called out the lack of evidence against him, and Williams had maintained that he was not involved in the 1998 murder for which he’d been convicted. Dance Of Death In Verges - Spain

Dance Of Death In Verges - Spain

Several people prepare for the 'Dansa de la Mort', on March 28, 2024, in Verges, Girona, Catalonia, Spain. Every Maundy Thursday night, several skeletons parade in the town of Verges. The origin of this dance dates back to the epidemics of the black plague that ravaged Europe in the Middle Ages, between the fourteenth and seventeenth centuries. The dance indicates the inexorable passage of all men towards death, representing the scenes of Jesus' journey to Mount Calvary. The whole route is illuminated by torches and oil shells creating a dark atmosphere, while five people dressed as skeletons with rhythmic and repetitive sound of the drum perform different dances.
