Legendary swimmer Furuhashi dies at 80 in Rome

ROME, Italy - Julio Maglione, president of the International Swimming Federation (FINA), expresses his condolences over the death of legendary Japanese swimmer Hironoshin Furuhashi during a news conference in Rome on Aug. 2. Earlier in the day Furuhashi, FIFA vice president and former Japanese Olympic Committee president, was discovered dead lying on his hotel room bed in Rome.
