N. Korea's Kim Jong Il in childhood

TOKYO, Japan - File photo taken around 1946 in Mangyongdae, Pyongyang, shows a young Kim Jong Il (L), who later became North Korea's leader, in the arms of his father Kim Il Sung. North Korea announced Dec. 19, 2011, that Kim Jong Il died on Dec. 17. He was 69.
