Heavy rainfall hit the Tokyo metropolitan area on Wednesday, August 21 disrupting some train services during evening rush hour. Videos posted on social media shows water falling from ceilings like a waterfall inside stations and streets flooded like a river across the city.

TOKYO, Japan - Skymark Airlines said Jan. 28 its president Takashi Ide was replaced the same day by Masayuki Inoue (file photo), formerly of British Airways. Inoue, 41, joined the Japanese budget airline in May 2002 and has been vice president of the marketing and sales division since November.
