On April 29, the Fuzhou Meteorological Observatory issued an orange hail warning signal for Fuzhou, Fujian. Parts of the city may also experience 8-9 level thunderstorms with hail and gusty winds. Apart from that, more than 3,000 lightning strikes were recorded between 18:00 on April 29th and 9:00 on April 30th.
