U.S. biotech firm MediciNova debuts on OSE's start-up market

OSAKA, Japan - Takashi Kiyoizumi (R), president of U.S. biotechnology venture MediciNova, smiles as he received a memorial relief from Osaka Securities Exchange President Michio Yoneda on Feb. 8. MediciNova debuted on the exchange's Hercules market on the day, becoming the first foreign company listed on the bourse for start-ups. This is the first time the company, whose stock is not listed on an exchange in the United States, has listed its shares on a stock exchange. (Kyodo)
