TOKYO, Japan - The Tokyo District Court ordered condominium developer Meiwa Estate Co. on Dec. 18 to remove the 23-meter-high part of the 43-meter condominium building (photo), more than 20 meters above ground level, in Kunitachi, western Tokyo, and to pay compensation to local residents for destroying the area's scenery. The court said the condominium violates the local residents' rights to the scenery.
