High school student wins women's amateur golf crown

ONO, Japan - Sixteen-year-old Mihoko Iseri holds the championship trophy on June 30 after posting a 1-up triumph over Rui Kitada in the 36-hole final of the women's amateur golf championship at Ono Golf Club in Hyogo Prefecture. Iseri is the second youngest golfer to win the title after Michiko Hattori, who won her first amateur crown in 1984 at the age of 15 years, 9 months.
