Atomic bomb survivors call for elimination of nukes at int'l meeting

Hibakusha organization adviser Iwasa dies

Photo taken in January 2018 shows Mikiso Iwasa, adviser to the Japan Confederation of A- and H-Bomb Sufferers Organizations. Iwasa, who was in Hiroshima during the U.S. atomic bombing in August 1945, died of pancreatic cancer on Sept. 7, 2020, at his home in Chiba Prefecture at age 91.
