The marathon was organized by the Beirut Marathon Association in the Beirut Waterfront area under the slogan "I am Beirut." Ethiopian runner Metko Dekiba won the 42km international men's race in 2:14:21, while his compatriot Mologu Ambe claimed the women's title in 2:28:57.
