'Moomin' stamps go on sale to mark 60th anniversary

TOKYO, Japan - Stamps commemorating the 60th anniversary of the birth of the popular children's character ''Moomin'' have gone on sale that is well-known in Japan through its animated series and books. Each stamp sheet contains 10 sheets of 80-yen stamps plus illustrations of Moomin, known as Moomintroll in its original version, and his family and friends including Snufkin and Little My. The illustrated parts are adhesive and can be mailed with the stamps. (Kyodo)
