The competition aimed to select the most promising figure skaters aged 6-12 from 11 teams as well as to choose the best sports school. In total, about 2,000 athletes competed in the tournament. They came from 20 figure skating schools, including the most prominent ones in Russia. Representatives of 80 commercial organizations developing figure skating also participated.
