SHINGU, Japan - A shrine maiden stands besides a huge fan which is being aired along with smaller ones in the hall of Kumano Hayatama Taisha on July 5 ahead of the annual ''Ogitate Matsuri'' festival beginning on July 14. Kumano Hayato Taisha is one of three shinto shrines located in the Kumano district of Wakayama Prefecture.
