KANAZAWA, Japan - The U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization's international conference on Globally Important Agricultural Heritage Systems opens in Nanao, Ishikawa Prefecture, on May 29, 2013. The FAO decided the same day to add three areas in Japan's Shizuoka, Kumamoto and Oita prefectures to its world agricultural heritage list.
