UAE: Torrential Rain Causes Severe Flooding In Dubai 5

Powerful storms battered some Gulf states on Tuesday, April 16, bringing torrential rain, hail, and floods, leaving at least 18 people dead in Oman. Severe flooding hit Dubai with metro stations in ankle-deep water. Drivers were stuck on flooded roads and some abandoned their vehicles on the streets. Flights were canceled, schools were closed, and government employees worked from home.
