Living national treasure, ceramic artist Imaizumi dies

SAGA, Japan - Photo taken in April 1999 shows ceramic artist Imaizumi Imaemon XIII putting color on a piece of pottery at his workroom in Arita, Saga Prefecture. He died Oct. 13 at age 75 of a heart attack at his home in Arita, one of the largest ceramic production centers in Japan. He was awarded the title of Living National Treasure in 1989 for his Nabeshima ware.
