TOKYO, Japan - Actor Fumio Watanabe (file photo) died of acute respiratory failure at a Tokyo hospital on Aug. 4, his family said. He was 74. Watanabe, who began his acting career in 1956, appeared in a series of movies directed by Nagisa Oshima. He played the role of an intelligent yakuza gangster in many films.
