No connection between Orlando shooter and Syria suicide attacker: Mosque spokesperson

Adel Nefzi, spokesman of the Islamic Center of Fort Pierce, speaks to reporters at the mosque in Fort Pierce, Florida, on June 13, 2016, a day after U.S. citizen Omar Mateen, a former worshipper there, killed 49 people and injured another 53 in a mass shooting in Orlando, Florida. Regarding questions of a link between Mateen and another former worshipper, who became the first American to commit a suicide bomb attack in Syria in 2014, Nefzi said he does not believe there was any kind of connection between the two individuals.
