Farmers Protest Against Government's Health Policy on CND - France

Neighbours came to offer their support. In Montarreaut, Touille (31), where a herd was slaughtered, the population is rallying to support the farmer. A herd of thirty-five animals was slaughtered (or partially slaughtered) on Saturday 13 December, causing an emotional reaction among local residents. Exceptional security measures were put in place, while the community rallied to support the affected farmer. In recent days, blockades have been multiplying across France in protest against the government s health policy regarding the contagious nodular dermatosis epidemic (CND). The slaughter of 200 cows in Ariege, a decision that pitted protesters against law enforcement for two days, has reignited the controversy, on December 13, 2025, in Touille, Montarreaut, France.
