OSAKA, Japan - Bui Quang Huu holds his daughter during a news conference in Osaka on Nov. 22 after a complaint by his wife, Trinh Thi Nghia, against officials of the Nishi-Nihon Immigration Center in Ibaraki, Osaka Prefecture, was submitted to the Osaka District Public Prosecutors' Office. She claims the officials used handcuffs and rope to confine her on the bus and plane during deportation on Nov. 7.

Doan Van Thanh, the father of a Vietnamese woman implicated in the suspected assassination of the half-brother of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un in Malaysia, is interviewed by Kyodo News near his house in Nghia Hung, a district of Vietnam's northern province of Nam Dinh, on Feb. 20, 2017.
