TOKYO, Japan - Japanese marathon debutant Hitomi Niiya, 18, hits the tape to become the women's champion in the first Tokyo Marathon on Feb. 18. The Tokyo Marathon, which replaced the Tokyo International Marathon, began at the Tokyo governmental building with runners passing some of the capital's tourist spots like Ginza, the outer gardens of the Imperial Palace and Asakusa.
