Spain: Storm Emilia Causes Severe Flooding Across Peninsula

As Storm Emilia passes, dozens of weather alerts remain active across the Spanish coast due to intense rain and storms. Some areas could see over 250 liters of rain per square meter, with warnings in effect for southern Catalonia through Wednesday, December 17. Aemet has forecast continued heavy showers for the Mediterranean coast and Balearic Islands, specifically warning of potential urban flooding in southern Valencia and northern Alicante.
