Japan launches new investment fund to help businesses innovate

TOKYO, Japan - Kimikazu Noumi, president of the state-backed fund Innovation Network Corp. of Japan, speaks during an inauguration ceremony of the fund in Tokyo on July 27. The Japanese government has invested 82 billion yen in the fund with the aim of boosting the competitiveness of Japanese firms.
