High-grade gold ore found off remote island south of Tokyo

TOKYO, Japan, Nov. 21 Kyodo - An illustration shows the location of Aogashima Island (arrow) in the Pacific. A team of researchers at the University of Tokyo said on June 2, 2016 that it discovered high-grade gold ore in 2015 in a hydrothermal deposit at an underwater volcanic crater off Aogashima Island in the Izu Island chain over 350 kilometers south of Tokyo.(Kyodo)

COP20 president eyes draft agreement for new framework

COPENHAGEN, Denmark - Manuel Pulgar-Vidal, minister of state for environment in Peru and president of the United Nations Twentieth Conference of the Parties on Climate Change (COP20) in Lima this December, gives an interview in Denmark's Copenhagen on Nov. 2, 2014.
