Toyota City has introduced Toyota's SORA fuel cell bus for public transportation.

On August 8, Toyota City, Aichi Prefecture, held a ceremony to unveil the newly introduced "SORA," a mass-produced fuel cell bus manufactured by Toyota Motor Corporation. This is the first time that the city has introduced this vehicle in the Chubu region. A total of three vehicles were leased, two of which will be used by the Toyota Oiden Bus, a community bus running in the city, starting in September, and one will be used as an official vehicle. One will be used as an official vehicle, and the other will be used as a power supply vehicle in the event of a disaster. The vehicle introduced is the improved SORA, which Toyota began selling in August, with a total length of 10525mm, width of 2490mm, height of 3350mm, and a maximum capacity of 79 passengers. Toyota's Deputy General Manager of General Affairs and Human Resources, Mr. Tadashi Kuwata, expressed his hope that many people will become familiar with the hydrogen society.
