Monazite moved to gov't research center

URAWA, Japan - Workers load a truck with drums containing monazite at a warehouse of a computer store in Omiya, Saitama Prefecture, on Dec. 26. The low-level radioactive mineral is part of 20 tons found stored in various locations in Chiba, Saitama, Ibaraki, Tokyo, Nagano, Mie and Gifu prefectures. It will be transported to the Institute of Physical and Chemical Research, an affiliate of the Science and Technology Agency, in Wako, Saitama Prefecture.
