MSDF vessel sinks fishing boat, 2 in critical condition

TOKYO, Japan - Defense Minister Itsunori Onodera speaks to reporters at the prime minister's office in Tokyo on Jan. 15, 2014, after talking with Prime Minister Shizo Abe about the collision between the Maritime Self-Defense Force transport vessel Osumi and a leisure fishing boat. Abe instructed Onodara to cooperate with the Japan Coast Guard in investigating the cause of the collision.
