World Cup 2026 – US: Iran Team Arrives in Los Angeles on Day of Peace Deal Announcement

Iran's national soccer team arrived in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 14, ahead of their World Cup Group G opener against New Zealand the following day. The team's arrival at their hotel in Manhattan Beach drew a crowd of mixed reactions, with Iranian supporters, American flag-waving onlookers, and protesters shouting "Shame on you" gathering outside, on the same day the United States and Iran announced a peace deal.
