Mitsuoka Motor to end production of 'Orochi' supercar

TOKYO, Japan - Mitsuoka Motor Co. announces in Tokyo on April 23, 2014, that it will terminate production of the "Orochi" supercar series in September due to swelling costs. The last five cars will be dubbed the "Final Orochi" with extra equipment and special interior coloring.

TOKYO, Japan - Japan's Mitsuoka Motor Co. unveils a new car called Orochi (meaning big snake in Japanese) in Tokyo on Oct. 2. The automaker in Toyama Prefecture will accept orders starting Oct. 3 for the two-seater, 3,300-cc car featuring a design depicting a mythical Japanese big snake.
