US: Powerful Storm Knocks Down Trees, Topples 34 Rail Cars in Lynndyl, Utah

A severe storm with winds reaching 70 to 90 mph, possibly close to 100 mph, tore through Lynndyl, Utah on Saturday, August 29. The storm damaged roughly 40 homes and knocked out power. It also ripped the roof off at least one house, downed multiple trees, and toppled 34 railroad cars. Authorities were investigating whether a tornado had touched down.
