Kotomitsuki promoted to ozeki

NAGOYA, Japan - Dressed in traditional attire, sumo wrestler Kotomitsuki (C), flanked by his stable master Sadogatake and Sadogatake's wife, poses for photographers after he formally received the ozeki promotion notice from the official messenger of the Japan Sumo Association on July 25. The ozeki promotion ceremony was held at a temple in Ichinomiya in Kotomitsuki's native Aichi Prefecture. At the back of the photo is Norio Kamatani, a former oyakata of the Sadogatake sumo stable.
