Turkey: Sakarya Forest Fire Forces Evacuations, Spreads Toward Bilecik

A forest fire in Geyve, Sakarya Province, northwestern Turkey, forced the evacuation of the Hacılar and Taşoluk neighborhoods. The blaze, which has burned around 1,500 hectares, is partly contained but has spread to Osmaneli district, Bilecik Province. Fire crews are battling the flames by land and air, while residents move their belongings to safety.
