The country's ambitious mission to study the Sun was launched from the Satish Dhawan Space Center in Sriharikota in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh. Aditya-L1's separation from the launch vehicle is projected to happen nearly 63 minutes after the rocket blasts off from the second launch pad at Sriharikota. The DS-SAR satellite blasted off from the first launch-pad of Satish Dhawan Space Center (SDSC)-SHAR located at Sriharikota in India's southern state of Andhra Pradesh, said the space agency. It added the DS-SAR satellite was developed under a partnership between India, Singapore and ST Engineering, a multinational aerospace company.
